Return & Exchange Policy

Before you return a House of Ajrakh product, please take a moment to understand how our products are made. All our products are hand block printed by traditional artisans using natural dyes, resulting in each product being unique and slightly different from each other. Most of the processes are manual; hence the irregularities which may occur are characteristic of the process and not counted as a defect.

At House of Ajrakh, all orders go through a stringent quality check before shipping. However, in the off chance that you have received a damaged product, please notify us at thehouseofajrakh@gmail.com or +91 9081 405540 within 24 hours of receiving the order.

Eligibility for Return or Exchange

We accept returns or exchanges only in the following cases:

Wrong product received
Damaged product received
Manufacturing defect

⚠️ We do not offer refunds.
Approved returns are processed as exchange or store credit only, valid for 12 months.

Return Request Window

Return or exchange requests must be raised within 3 days of delivery
Requests raised after this period will not be accepted
All requests must be initiated via call or email only

Product Condition

Returned or exchanged items must be:

Unused and unwashed
In original condition
With original tags, labels, and packaging intact
Free from stains, odors, marks, or damages

Products that are used, washed, altered, stitched, or cut will not be accepted.

Non-Returnable & Non-Exchangeable Items

Sale or discounted products
Products damaged due to customer handling
Parcels sent without prior approval

Handcrafted Product Disclaimer

Ajrakh and handmade textiles may show slight variations in color, print, or texture due to natural dyes and traditional processes. These variations are natural and are not considered defects.

Exchange Policy

Exchange is allowed only once per order
Exchange is applicable for products of equal or higher value
Exchanges are subject to product availability
If the requested product is unavailable, store credit will be issued

Charges & Fees

Shipping charges and COD charges (₹150) are non-refundable
In case of exchange, customers are required to pay a ₹250 exchange fee, which covers reverse pickup and reshipping of the exchanged product
If an order is marked as Return to Origin (RTO) due to customer unavailability, refusal, incorrect address, or failed delivery attempts, customers must pay ₹250 reshipping charges to have the order resent

Store Credit Policy

Store credit is issued after inspection and approval
Store credit is valid for 12 months from the date of issue
Store credit is non-transferable and cannot be encashed
Store credit can be used only on the House of Ajrakh website

Parcels sent without prior approval will not be accepted.

International Orders – Important Notice

Returns, exchanges, refunds, and store credits are not available on international orders under any circumstances.

Once an international order is confirmed and shipped, it cannot be cancelled, returned, or exchanged, including in cases of damaged products, wrong products, or manufacturing defects.

All international orders are shipped after a quality check and secure packaging. However, due to long transit distances, customs handling, and third-party courier processes, House of Ajrakh cannot accept liability for damages occurring during international transit.

Customs duties, import taxes, or local charges levied by the destination country are the responsibility of the customer. If an international order is refused, returned, or undelivered due to non-payment of customs duties, incorrect address, or customer unavailability, the order will not be eligible for any refund or store credit.

House of Ajrakh is not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance, courier operations, or government regulations in the destination country.
